Gitee (Gitee.com) is the largest code hosting platform and developer community in China. Including the fa-gitee icon in the core Brands pack is crucial for the following reasons:

It is the de facto standard code hosting platform for the majority of Chinese developers, companies, and governmental projects. Application or website targeting the Chinese market or collaborating with Chinese developers always include a link to Gitee.
