Hi Szymon, I understand your frustration, waiting that long, especially after already fixing everything, can be really stressful. A few important things to know:
These are exactly the common rejection reasons, so your new application is much stronger.
Choose GitHub Education and include:
Unfortunately, community members can’t manually approve applications, but support can sometimes escalate cases when there’s a clear academic deadline. Hopefully your application gets reviewed much sooner than the estimated date |

Hi Szymon — that sounds really frustrating, especially after already waiting more than two weeks the first time. From what you described, your new application sounds much better prepared now. A transcript is one of the documents GitHub accepts for student verification, and their troubleshooting guidance also says the document should clearly show your current academic status and at least one date, so it seems like you addressed the main issues this time. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone here can speed up the queue directly, so your best option is still GitHub Support. If someone from the Education team sees this, could they please check whether @szymonskyyy is just waiting in the normal review queue or if the application needs manual attention? Hope this gets sorted out much sooner than May 24. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
I'm writing because I'm getting pretty frustrated with my student verification. My first attempt was stuck in "pending" for 16 days only to get rejected because of some technical stuff (I didn't have 2FA enabled and there was a location error).
I've just submitted a new application and I made sure to fix everything this time:
• I enabled 2FA on my account.
• I uploaded a clear photo of my official transcript in English (from the USOS system at AST Wroclaw).
• I allowed location access in my browser so you can see I'm actually at the campus in Wroclaw, Poland.
The problem is, even after doing all this, I got an email saying I might have to wait until May 24th for a review. That's over 6 weeks from now! I really need GitHub Copilot for my current semester projects and I can't really afford to wait two months for a fix.
Could someone from the education team please take a look at my case? My username is szymonskyyy. I'd really appreciate any help to get this moving faster.
Thanks,
Szymon
